In 2015, as an avid family camper with a passion for product design, Derek O’Sullivan founded CRUA with a mission to provide campers everywhere, the best night’s sleep in the wild. CRUA launched its first insulated tunnel tent, the Loj, which will become the backbone of CRUA’s success in the years to come.
By 2020, CRUA establishes itself as an expert in temperature, light and sound regulating camping products, and launches its iconic Culla Series of inner tents, along with a range of innovative sleep accessories and modular tent systems.
In 2023, CRUA establishes its North American HQ in Kyle, Texas. With over 12 successful crowdfunding product launches and a loyal customer base, CRUA grows its community and delivers +20,000 products to over 100 countries.
