2023 – Concept Development Born From Feedback

Crua began receiving feedback from users who had purchased the Culla family tent, expressing that while the Culla family design was functional, it didn’t integrate seamlessly with their existing setups. Many customers specifically wanted a cabin tent with an integrated bedroom that could be used with their current gear. These callouts highlighted a gap in the market leading to the decision to develop a new product.

2023/2024 – Design and Development
With user feedback in mind, Crua’s design team set to work developing the Pop-Up Noir 6 Cabin Tent. The goal was to create a spacious cabin tent that included an integrated bedroom, providing more privacy and comfort without the need for additional structures or modifications.

2024 – Testing and Refinement
As a company born in rugged Ireland, Crua knows rain. Cabin tents are often built for summertime features, but they typically fall short in harsh weather. To tackle this, Crua developed an additional full flysheet during the testing phase, offering protection for the bravest users who wouldn’t let bad weather stop them. Blackout materials were also introduced to cater to those wanting a full blackout experience without requiring an insulated bedroom. Further refinements optimized the pop-up mechanism, enhanced durability, and ensured a smooth setup process.

March 2025 – Official Launch
The Pop-Up Noir 6 Cabin Tent is set to launch in March 2025, bringing a genuinely unique product to market. Combining quick setup, spaciousness, blackout features, and an integrated bedroom, this tent is designed for families and campers looking for both convenience and comfort on their adventures.

2025 and Beyond – A Tongue-in-Cheek Forecast
Like all Crua product histories, the future of the Noir 6 will be shaped by those who matter most: the users. Once it’s field-tested in the wild, customer feedback will likely inspire tweaks and enhancements. And while we don’t know exactly what the final specs will evolve into, rest assured we already have modular ideas simmering to make this tent even more versatile and user-friendly.
